Flarm

In addition to the LX 7007 integrated Flarm version, the Flarm collision avoidance system is available as the "black box" solution. The basic idea was to make a small stand alone Flarm device installable anywhere in the cockpit without any required input during the flight. Each Flarm unit comes with one Flarm External display consisting of the LED indicators, the push button and the buzzer. The Flarm External display should be installed within the pilot's front viewing area.

Stand Alone Version

Overview

The Flarm Red box is a completely stand alone device powered by the glider's power bus.

LX 7007 pro igc flarm

Features

  • The unit is powered by the glider's 12 V network.
  • Requires separate GPS antenna.
  • External Flarm RF antenna includes aprox. 150 cm cable.
  • Flarm External Display is connected to the Flarm unit via the RJ 6 (telephone type) connector that may also be used for firmware updates.
  • Secondary Flarm display may be connected by utilizing LX Flarm splitter.
  • The push button on top has identical function as with the original Flarm units.
  • Plug and play connectable with the LX Navigation Voice Module - NEW!
  • Optional Flight Recorder and SD Card (without or with IGC approval)
  • Delivery includes: Flarm Black Box, Flarm External Display, Dipole RF Antenna and GPS Antenna.

LX 5000 Flarm Interface

Overview

The unit was primary developed to support LX 5000 users upgrading to Flarm. The basic idea was to make Flarm upgrade as simple as possible without the technical assistance and to utilize the existing equipment installed in the glider.
