LX 166

The system consists of two 57 mm units which dimensions corresponds to air norm. The vario unit hasn't any controls and mainly serves as a vario indicator with audio. All controls and a graphic display are available on the control unit. Six push buttons and one rotary switch ensures effective and comfortable manipulation.

The unit is capable to receive NMEA and also Flarm data at several baud rates after using of auto detection function. A stand alone PDA port serves as data and power source for PDA, a Bluetooth option is also available. LX 166 is plug_and_play connectable to Colibri, LX 20, VL and any Flarm unit. All mentioned units are also powered from LX 166. PDA output is capable to drive SeeYou Mobile, Winpilot and some other programs.

A very special function implemented in LX 166 is continuously present final glide to home airport, as the unit memorizes take off position. Otherwise the final glide is based on data received from GPS. Very useable pilot information is also already done distance display which is available after some significant points of the flight are memorized after pilot action.

Operation with GPS offers also wind calculation which result is wind direction and wind speed indication.
